A broach is a 5-sided, tapered cutting tool, used by hand much as a reamer to enlarge and align a pair of holes that will subsequently be tapped. Another example of a typical application would be to align the holes in the knuckles of a hinge before the pin is installed. Features a miniature pin vise and 12 tiny broaches made of high carbon cutting steel. Broaches are five-sided for enlarging holes and range from .05 – .55mm. Made in Germany.
