A broach is a 5-sided, tapered cutting tool, used by hand much as a reamer to enlarge and align a pair of holes that will subsequently be tapped. Another example of a typical application would be to align the holes in the knuckles of a hinge before the pin is installed. This assortment of six popular sizes with plastic handles contains sizes 46 through 72 (according to English Stubs gauge). Our broaches are five-sided and have a regular taper and perfect finish.
