This open melting crucible is made of clay bonded high grade fused silica and withstands temperatures up to 2500°F/1371°C. Used for melting Gold, Silver, Brass, Copper and other metals. It is ideal for small casting Jobs with a torch. Diameter is 5-1/2" (140 mm) and capacity 62 Oz/1125Dwt / 1750 g. Made in Italy.
Pre- heat the crucible prior to use and glaze with Borax, this will prolong the life of the crucible
