The BeadSmith Whammer is a wire jewelry hammer with 2 interchangeable heads. Features a fixed convex steel head, an interchangeable nylon flat head, and a steel dapping head: 3 tools in 1. The fixed head is a highly polished convex steel face which is designed for flattening, spreading, and working-hardening. The removable flat nylon head is perfect for smoothing kinks in wire and tempering color-coated and plated wires without marring surfaces. Unscrew this head and install the dapping head, which can be used to apply texture on wires 20 gauge and smaller. Short ergo handle enables a perfect grip and improved striking accuracy, while extra weight in the head reduces the effort needed to achieve great results. Created for use on wire, though silversmiths will also find this compact multi-purpose tool very useful. Use with a steel bench block. Overall length 7-1/2”.
