Pepetools
engineered a unique housing that maximizes durability and increases strength,
all while decreasing overall mass. Thanks to a new generation of precision
machining, Pepetools "ULTRA" Series rolling mills are stronger than
ever. Frames are fashioned from high strength iron so that the total
weight of each mill could be reduced to save on shipping costs.
Standard on each mill is a high performance 4:1
reduction gear box turned with a high strength forged steel handle. Gears are not cast but are hobbled from solid
steel. Each roll is precision
machined from select grades of high density steel. After the machining process
is completed, each roll is hardened to 65 HRC in strategic locations utilizing
the latest in induction heat treating methods

The half-round grooves are machined into the upper
roll and are used to form half-round wire often used to fabricate ring shanks.
The 4 square grooves form wire into a profile that is roughly square in
profile. Wire so formed is then passed through a drawplate to create round wire
or other wire profiles. Holes are provided in the base of the mill for bolting
to your workbench.
