This forming stakes can be used with a plastic/nylon hammer to create synclastic and anticlastic forms out of sheet metal. Milled from hexagonal stock creating precise synclastic and anticlastic shapes with less flex than found in traditional stakes. The hexagonal center of this stake clamps securely into a bench vise, providing a more stable work surface compared to traditional forming stakes. This stake has four graduated anticlastic depressions on one end and four graduated synclastic shapes on the other end; this stake becomes a must-have for any metalsmith.
